What's Weird ATX
If you ❤️ this newsletter, consider becoming a WhatsWeirdATX supporter for just $2 a month! Or if you can’t support financially at the moment, forward us to a friend or two! |
Obviously there’s a lot going on the past few days. Well really, it feels like there’s been a lot going on now for awhile. As you know, I try to keep this newsletter cheery and light for the most part, but let me expound a little bit today.
I’m very upset (as I’m sure you are as well) by how close to home the tragedies are hitting, with what happened at Buford’s this past weekend especially. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, I can’t imagine what they are going through. Of course this also needs to be said for the innocents abroad as well as our service members.
I know it may be hard, and now even a bit scary, to go out and meet new people and your neighbors… but it’s more important than ever.
The human spirit is resilient and loving. Offer a smile to a stranger, and a helping hand if you can. It’s time to increase the strength of our networks and connections, and be kind and friendly to each other, especially in real life.
Austin has given me so much love and light and happiness. We can continue to provide this for each other. We must continue to provide this for each other.
All my ❤️,
Michelle
As usual, this week we’ve got a ton of amazing events to check out, as well as a particularly Spicy Saturday and Fungal Funday (Sunday). Did that work? 😂
We’re having to tweak the format of the newsletter a little bit. The Google algo gods have suddenly decided that the email contains too many links and it’s not been going to people’s Primary inbox in the last couple weeks. Gonna try moving links to the web version of the email, so if an event looks cool, just tap “Read Online” at the top of that section to go to the web version and you can find the links there!
Another thing you can do to help me is move this email to your primary inbox, so you can be guaranteed to never miss this email going forward!
Whatever mood you’re in, find the perfect event for you on WhatsGoodATX web or iOS! |
